Kathmandu – Following intense emotional reactions from viewers, the team behind the Nepali film “A Bata Aama” has released an official apology and thank-you statement.

In the press note, the filmmakers acknowledged that many audience members became deeply emotional, broke down in tears, and were reminded of painful personal memories while watching the film. The team also said they received reports that some viewers fainted during screenings and others felt mentally distressed.

The statement reads:

“Our intention was never to make anyone cry or cause emotional pain. But when a film’s story feels like one’s own life story, it becomes very hard to hold back emotions.”

The team expressed heartfelt gratitude to all viewers and apologized if the film caused emotional hurt to anyone.

The statement was issued on behalf of producer Chandra Pant and the Arya Entertainment family.

“A Bata Aama,” currently in theatres, is described as an emotional story centered on the mother–child relationship and family realities.
