“Kaliyug Ki Radha” Released with Babita Manandhar’s Voice, Featuring Asma Bishwakarma

The folk-modern song “Kaliyug Ki Radha” has been officially released. The song was unveiled at a special event held in Kathmandu on Thursday by senior singers Kunti Moktan, Sukmit Gurung, Monila Sotang, and Devika Bandana.

The track features vocals by Babita Manandhar, lyrics by DP Khanal, music composed by Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’, and mixing by Kumar KC. Directed by Rajiv Samar, the music video stars Asma Bishwakarma and Abhishek Shrestha in dynamic dance performances. The video is shot by Dinesh Parajuli and edited by Dinson Shah, while the song is produced by Suresh Manandhar.

Based on an energetic dance beat, “Kaliyug Ki Radha” reflects themes of love, feminine emotions, and relationship realities in modern society. With over 25 years in the music industry, Babita Manandhar’s soulful and mature voice adds emotional depth to the song.

Speaking at the event, Manandhar praised composer Shankar Thapa, stating that performing his composition required dedication and effort. She expressed confidence that the strong blend of lyrics and music has elevated the song’s quality.

Senior singer Kunti Moktan lauded Manandhar’s versatility, while Sukmit Gurung described her vocal performance as top-class. Monila Sotang expressed confidence that the song would resonate with audiences, and Devika Bandana highlighted the consistency and timeless quality of Manandhar’s voice.

Composer Shankar Thapa said releasing the song at the hands of legendary singers was a proud moment. Model Asma Bishwakarma also expressed optimism that audiences would appreciate both the song and the video.
