Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film Pahad, directed by Tulsi Ghimire, is set to release on Baisakh 1, 2083, coinciding with the Nepali New Year.
The film depicts the social and economic challenges faced by highland communities after young people migrate abroad. According to director Ghimire, the storyline portrays the bitter realities of society while remaining suitable for family audiences.
“We finalized the release date after discussions with distributors. The timing works for both domestic and international screenings and allows us to complete the remaining production work. Being a family-oriented story, we are releasing it when audiences can watch together,” said Ghimire.
