Romantic Nepali Song ‘Behal’ Released Featuring Abhishek & Shritika

Kathmandu — The romantic song “Behal” by Sugam Pokharel and Rita KC was officially released at a special event in the capital. The audio and video were unveiled by eminent musician Phanindra Rai, lyricists Ambika Gurung and Bhupendra Mahat, and Kuber Giri, member of the Film Censor Board and Vice President of the Film Journalists Association.

The song features lyrics by Dr. Debendra Pradhan, music by Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’, and vocals by Sugam Pokharel and Rita KC. Arrangement was done by Bisham Acharya, and mixing/mastering by Kishor Thapa. The music video stars Abhishek Shrestha and Shritika Shrestha, with cinematography by Dinesh Parajuli, editing by Dinson Shah, and direction by Keshav Raj Bhatt.

Speaking at the event, Phanindra Rai praised the song as outstanding. Lyricist Ambika Gurung highlighted the song’s simple yet effective combination of words, music, and vocals. Bhupendra Mahat noted that both the audio and video are powerful, while Kuber Giri said the song deserves a place among the best recent releases.

Dr. Debendra Pradhan, originally from Kalimpong, India, has been active in Nepali literature and music since 2019, having recorded over half a dozen songs. Veteran musician Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’ has contributed music to over 1,500 songs across various genres and has received numerous national and international awards.

With Sugam and Rita’s vocals, the performances of Abhishek and Shritika, and the creative direction of Thapa and Pradhan, “Behaal” promises to deliver the depth of romance and love to Nepali audiences.
