‘Bam Bahadur’ Starring Saugat Malla to Release on Poush 5: Teaser Unveiled

The release date for the much-anticipated movie ‘Bam Bahadur’ has been announced. The film is set to hit theaters on Poush 5 (mid-December).

Actor Saugat Malla takes on the titular role in the movie, which will release simultaneously in Nepal and India. The teaser for the film was unveiled on Monday.

The teaser hints that the film revolves around the Gorkhaland movement as its central theme. In 2017, a significant uprising took place in Darjeeling, India, demanding Gorkhaland. The teaser suggests that the film portrays the events and emotions surrounding this historic movement.

Directed by John Rai, the film seeks to document the struggles faced by the Nepali community in Darjeeling and the Dooars region as a digital archive. According to Rai, the film presents the historical challenges and resilience of the community.

The production team has promised audiences a mix of suspense, thrill, romance, and social drama in the movie.

Produced by Sanjiv Sarki, the story and screenplay are written by John Rai and Rupesh Tamang, with cinematography by Sujoy Kumar Ghosh (Munna).

Under the banner of Bist Brothers Films, the movie features a stellar cast including Saugat Malla, Prashant Rai, Anisha Rasaily, Bhaskar Pradhan, Mahendra Bagdas, Madan Bhujel, Bharat Basistha, Ajay Pradhan, Shantila Tamang, Riya Bhujel, child actor Basista Karki, and Suresh Panchakoti, among others.

The film will be distributed by Rich Entertainment and FD Company.
