Kathmandu – The first national-level competitive folk duet singing reality show in Nepal, “Lok Dohori Star Season 1,” has selected its top eight finalists for the grand finale.
Organized by EventoZ Digital, the show aims to discover and promote new talents in Nepal’s traditional lok dohori music scene by providing them a national platform.
According to the organizers, the finalists include Lil Bahadur Thapa Magar (Syangja), Ritu Kumal (Dhading), Amrit Jargha Magar (Dhading), Nisha Lama (Dolakha), Manav Rawat Chhetri (Banke), Naran Paudel (Chitwan), Anil Chapagain (Kaski), and Deepak Thapa Magar (Dolakha).
The grand finale is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on March 30 (Chaitra 17).
Organizers say contestants from various districts across the country have helped represent their regions while promoting Nepali lok dohori music at the national level.
The program aims to create a national platform for emerging talents in Nepali folk music, they added.
