The teaser of the Nepali film Paralko Aago, produced by Sushil Pokharel, has been officially released through the OSR YouTube channel.

The teaser portrays a tense marital conflict between husband and wife, played by Prakash Saput and Suhana Thapa. In one scene, the husband beats his wife after she returns home late from the village water source.

Saugat Malla appears as a neighbor who attempts to intervene in the dispute. However, Saput’s character responds with a striking line suggesting that outsiders should avoid interfering in a couple’s private conflict.

Set against a rural backdrop with traditional Nepali village elements, the teaser hints at a story rooted in social realities and cultural settings of Nepali society.

The film also features Saugat Malla alongside Suhana Thapa and Prakash Saput in key roles. Earlier, the production team unveiled a poster on the occasion of International Women’s Day highlighting the authenticity of rural Nepali life.

Inspired by the classic literary work Paralko Aago by Guru Prasad Mainali, the film stars Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Adhikari, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and child actor Manjila Baniya.

Produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the film is directed by Laxman Sunar, with story and screenplay by Sushil Devkota.

The cinematography is by Sankalp Bhujel, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, editing by Milan Shrestha, and color grading by Kanal Kanwar. VFX is handled by Samir Miya and Satyam Rana, while teaser and trailer editing is by Sahil Khan.

The background score is composed by Kiran Tuladhar, with music by Shanti Thatal, Satya-Swarup Acharya, and Prakash Saput. Lyrics are written by Man Bahadur Mukhiya, Surendra Rana, and Prakash Saput.

Distributed across Nepal by RR Films, the digital rights have been acquired by OSR.

The story Paralko Aago, originally included in Mainali’s famous collection Naso, was also adapted into a film about 45 years ago by director Pratap Subba. According to producer Pokharel, the new film retains the original essence while presenting the story in a fresh cinematic form.

The film is scheduled for nationwide release on Baisakh 11.
