Kathmandu — The first song “Mayalai Ke Diu Ma Baina” from the film “Lalibazar” is currently going viral across social media platforms. Produced by Shatkona Arts, the song has quickly gained popularity on YouTube and short-video platforms.
Released on Falgun 29, the song has already garnered significant views and is trending widely on TikTok and Facebook Reels.
The dance performances by actress Swastima Khadka and child artist Samaira Thapa have become a major highlight. Their dance steps are being widely recreated by thousands of users and content creators.
Audiences on social media have praised not only the dance but also the vocals and the use of traditional folk elements in the song.
Speaking about the preparation, Swastima shared that they practiced dance during breaks between shooting scenes. She also credited Samaira’s performance as a source of inspiration.
The song features vocals and music by Khem Century, along with Dipika Bayambu Magar, and lyrics by Ramesh Biji. Choreography is done by Pradeep Lama.
Director Yam Thapa stated that the song is closely tied to the storyline and helps move the narrative forward.
Shot in Rajapur, Bardiya, the film stars Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, among others. It also marks the debut of Bishal Devkota and Prashansa Subedi.
The film is scheduled for release on Baisakh 18, 2083 (2026).
