The teaser of Ek Muthi Badal: My Share of Sky, starring Aanchal Sharma in the lead role, has been released to mark the actress’s birthday. The makers described the teaser as a special birthday gift for the actor.
The teaser revolves around the poem Pompoi Ko Phool, narrated by Aanchal Sharma herself, offering a glimpse into the film’s emotional core. It also introduces the main cast of the film.
Writer-director Sahara Sharma said the poem is inspired by her childhood memories. She recalled hearing similar verses from her grandmother, which she had nearly forgotten until the film’s editing phase. “It returned at a time when the film needed it the most,” she said, adding that it eventually became an integral part of the story.
Aanchal Sharma described the film as deeply personal. “In other films, I play characters, but in this one, I see myself. Bringing my own life onto the screen is beyond words,” she said.
The film features performances by Nisha Sharma, Usha Rajak, Bhima Mainali, Asmita Gautam, Shekhar Chapagain, Manish Niroula, Sahayog Adhikari, Gaurav Bista, and Abiral Pratap Adhikari, among others.
Produced by Abhimanyu Dixit, the film has Nikun Shrestha as executive producer. The production team also includes German producer Sara Fazilat, Sameepya Raj Timilsena, and Anup Paudel.
Cinematography is handled by Linh Dan Nguyen Phan, with production design by Yashasvi Sabharwal and editing by Gaurav Mallik. The film’s art direction is by Agrani Thakuri Jha, costume design by Janaki Kadayat, and makeup by Kirti Joshi.
Led largely by a female creative team, the film is produced by Gaunthali Entertainment in collaboration with Man Production. RR Films will distribute the film in Nepal.
