Kathmandu — A new folk-based song “Maya Hirikkai” by popular singer-composer Basanta Thapa and singer Sunitami Pariyar has been released, receiving positive reactions from audiences. The song was unveiled via Sunitami Pariyar’s official YouTube channel.
The song features lyrics by Navaraj Pant, with music composed by Basanta Thapa and arrangement by Shyam Shwet Rasaili. Its blend of traditional folk melody and modern presentation has made it appealing to listeners.
Directed by Gambhir Bista, the music video stars popular actor Pal Shah, alongside singer Sunitami Pariyar herself, adding a lively touch to the visual presentation.
The video is shot by Pawan Susling’s team and edited by Prabin Bhatt, with choreography by Prashant Magar, contributing to its engaging visual appeal.
Sunitami Pariyar expressed confidence that audiences will appreciate the song. She began her musical journey in 2009 (B.S. 2066) with the song “Bhirma Larkyo Khar” and has since recorded around 900 songs.
Her previous hits include “Rumal Saatna Pardaina,” “Saili Rimai,” “Abhagi Ta Ma Hun,” “Dhunga Jasto Man,” and “Mero Budako Ke Milena.”
