Pokhara — Known for its adventure tourism, Pokhara has now added a new dimension to its entertainment sector with the launch of an advanced 18D cinema by Fly Nepal Entertainment.

Located in the Disneyland area of Lakeside, this is Nepal’s first cinema offering such immersive technology. Following its successful operation in Kathmandu, the Pokhara outlet marks its second branch.

The cinema was officially inaugurated by veteran Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal during a special ceremony. Speaking to the media, he said Pokhara will now experience a new form of cinematic entertainment.

“Pokhara is already a beautiful city and a popular filming location. This cinema is not just entertainment—it’s a completely new world of experience,” he said, also recalling the shooting of his third film Deuki in Pokhara.

According to Ram Thapa, head of Fly Nepal Entertainment, the expansion to Pokhara was driven by the positive response in Kathmandu. He also claimed that the technology used in Pokhara is even more advanced.

The 18D cinema offers viewers access to 17 different story-based experiences ranging from 10 to 30 minutes. Notably, it does not require glasses or headsets, making it accessible to all age groups.

Director Himal Thapa expressed confidence that this innovation will elevate indoor adventure experiences in Pokhara.

At the event, Hamal also emphasized the need for government support for innovative businesses, stating that such ventures can contribute to job creation and economic growth.
