Kathmandu — Actor Paul Shah and actress Bipana Thapa have been signed as the lead cast of the upcoming film Aa Bata Aama 2, director Chandra Pant confirmed on Monday.
According to the production team, Bipana Thapa previously played the role of a mother and Paul Shah portrayed her son in the currently running film Aa Bata Aama. The sequel will continue the story with some new elements.
The makers have not yet confirmed whether actresses Usha Upreti and Simran Pant from the first installment will be retained. Director Pant said more details will be revealed gradually.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting from Baishakh (mid-April) of the upcoming Nepali New Year and aims for a Dashain release next year.
Director Chandra Pant said, “We have currently signed two actors. Other details will be shared gradually.”
