Kathmandu — Actor Salinman Baniya, who debuted with the film A Mero Hajur 2, has hinted at a comeback after years of absence from the film industry.
Baniya, who gained popularity with his debut, later appeared in Yatra: A Musical Vlog. However, despite being widely चर्चित among younger audiences, he gradually disappeared from films and public appearances. He was last seen at the premiere of actor Salon Basnet’s film Rangi.
Marking the New Year, Baniya shared a post on social media suggesting his return. Posting a photo of himself sitting at a bar, he wrote:
“Sometimes distance is not the end, but preparation. After eight years of silence, the New Year is trying to bring some old colors back to life.”
His statement has fueled speculation about a possible return to films after an eight-year hiatus. However, he has not revealed details about the project he may be working on.
Sources suggest that Baniya could be involved in a film associated with Salon Basnet, although neither party has officially confirmed it.
The image he shared appears to be from a film scene, raising further curiosity. It remains unclear whether the post itself is part of a promotional reveal.
