‘Malati Mangale’ promotional campaign kicks off in Bhaktapur

The upcoming Nepali film ‘Malati Mangale’ has officially launched its promotional campaign ahead of its release. Marking the Nepali New Year, the film unit began its publicity drive at a grand cultural event held in Bhaktapur, where thousands of audience members gathered, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The highlights of the event included live performances by singer and producer Ram Krishna Dhakal and comedian-actor Mecksam Gaudel. Singer Ritika Shrestha also joined Dhakal in performing the popular song ‘Dhungamaathi Leu’, entertaining the crowd, while Gaudel engaged the audience with his signature comedy and film promotion.

Executive producer Sagar Gyawali and other members of the production team attended the event, where the film’s teaser was also showcased.

Lead actors Vijay Baral and Varsha Raut were absent due to scheduling conflicts. However, the production team confirmed that they will actively participate in upcoming promotional events across the country.

The film is directed by Praku Pandey. Produced under the banner of Rani Films in collaboration with Uni Entertainment, the story is written by Pandey himself, while the screenplay and dialogues are by Sanyog Guragai.

Two songs, ‘Sunai Ko Sapani’ and ‘Dunga Mathi Leu’, have already been released and received positive audience response.

The film features a large ensemble cast including Vijay Baral, Varsha Raut, Mecksam Gaudel, along with Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Sushma Niraula, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Shaku Shah, Suchitra Upreti, Dinesh Shahi, Rijan Pariyar, Tara Sharma, Gita Shri, Raj Pangeni, Sushmita Gurung, and Sagar Bhattarai.

Executive producer Sagar Gyawali is joined by co-producers Babu Subedi, Robin Shrestha, Vedana Karmacharya, Padmavati Gurung, Swikriti Basnet, and Milan Bajgai.

The technical team includes Mahesh Paudel (cinematography), Romy Mozes (editing), Krishna Bhandari (color grading), Sujil Karmacharya (background score), and Dikesh Khadka (sound design). Lyrics are by Harka Saud, music by SD Yogi, and arrangement by Rakesh Gurung. The film is distributed by RR Films.
