The film “Ba: Ek Yoddha” has drawn significant attention by keeping its cast hidden from announcement through shooting and even into the final stages of production. The makers have now begun gradually revealing the actors involved.
Actor Divyadev Pant has been officially signed for the lead role in the film, according to the production team. However, details about his character have not yet been disclosed. The film began shooting on Chaitra 9, with the cast kept secret from the outset to maintain suspense.
Previously released set photos confirmed the involvement of actress Jharana Thapa and Suhana Thapa. The real-life mother and daughter will also portray mother and daughter on screen, marking their first joint appearance in a film.
The film is directed by renowned music composer Hari Lamsal, who is making his directorial debut with this project. Lamsal has also written the story and screenplay himself, stepping into filmmaking after a long career in music with a focus on social and emotional storytelling.
According to the production team, “Ba: Ek Yoddha” revolves around the struggles and sacrifices of a father who works tirelessly to secure a better future for his children. The emotional and socially driven narrative forms the core of the film.
The film is being produced under the banner of Artistic Entertainment by Basant Lamsal, who previously produced the Bipin Karki-starrer “Karma.” Cinematography is handled by Shivaram Shrestha, with Taranath Neupane serving as chief assistant director.
Currently, the film is in its final shooting phase at various locations in Kathmandu. The release date will be announced after the completion of post-production work.
