Kathmandu — Actor Aashirbad Chhetri has been officially signed for a lead role in the upcoming film “Chiranjeevi Bhava”, directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya, known as “Kaku,” and backed by the popular comedy duo Kumar Kattel “Jigree Bro” and Deepak Prasad Acharya.
The production team confirmed on Wednesday that Chhetri has been brought on board as a key character in the film. Earlier, model and influencer Prashansa Rayamajhi was already announced to be making her debut in Nepali cinema through this project. She was formally welcomed in the film through a poster released by the team on Sunday.
However, the production team has not revealed whether Aashirbad and Prashansa will be paired as on-screen partners, keeping further details under wraps and increasing curiosity around the project.
The film was officially announced on Tuesday on the occasion of New Year 2083. Directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya, the story has been written by Kumar Kattel, while the screenplay is handled by Sabin Adhikari and Basanta Neupane.
“Chiranjeevi Bhava” is a social drama that explores the ideological differences and relationships between two generations. According to writer Kattel, the story is set in a contemporary social context.
The film is produced by Umesh Kumar Baral, with Kumar Kattel and Shailesh Khatri serving as executive producers.
This will be Deepak Prasad Acharya’s second directorial venture. His previous film “Paran” became the highest-grossing film of 2082 BS. Similarly, “Laaj Sharanam,” directed and acted by Kumar Kattel, also achieved commercial success.
With Aashirbad Chhetri joining the cast, the film’s lineup is now considered stronger. The production team has stated that casting for remaining roles and technical crew is still ongoing.
