Kathmandu — Veteran actor and director Nir Shah’s upcoming film Kamala Miss is set to hit theaters on August 6 (Shrawan 22), following an official release date announcement.
The release was confirmed after an agreement with distribution companies, with Apple Entertainment, Rich Entertainment, and FD Company handling the film’s distribution.
Based on a psychological narrative, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Nir Shah, Ramesh Budhathoki, Basana Timilsina, Shivam Saraf Kshetri, Aarav Dahal, Bhawana Magar, Krishna Murari Dhungel, Sushant Kumar Shrestha, Jayanta Regmi, Suresh Thapa, Rajan KC, and Sanjay Khatiwada.
Produced by Uma Malla under the banner of Vijay Malla Memorial Foundation, the film’s executive producers are Umesh Malla and Chaitanya Pradhan, while Pushkar Lama serves as the line producer. The story is written by Vijay Malla, with screenplay and dialogues jointly developed by Nir Shah, Prajal Dulal, and Sugam Dulal.
On the technical front, the film features cinematography by Shivaram Shrestha, music by Yug Bhusal, and choreography by Ramji Lamichhane. Production management is handled by Bhola Subedi, with Sagar Bohara as the chief assistant director.
Marking his return to direction after nearly a decade, Nir Shah remains a prominent figure in Nepali cinema. His previous directorial works include Basudev, Pachis Basanta, Rajmati, Basanti, Masan, and Seto Bagh, all of which have left a notable impact on the industry.
