The upcoming Nepali film Lalibazar, set to release on Baishakh 18, has released a short teaser of its third song titled “Mai Ramri Chu Ta Ni”, which has already begun trending across social media platforms.
Released via the official YouTube channel of Shatkon Arts, the song features vocals by Deepika Bayambu Magar, with chorus vocals by Ranjita Bishwakarma, Bindu BC, Sunita Sunar, Manoj Bik, and Govinda Anek. The lyrics and music are composed by Prakash Saput.
The video features lead actress Swastima Khadka alongside Ravindra Singh Baniya, Mukund Kumar Shrestha, and Janaki Kadayat. Choreography is by Pradip Lama. The song highlights themes of feminine beauty, with Swastima at the center.
The track is already being widely used on TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts, boosting its digital reach ahead of the film’s release.
The film’s trailer, released on Baishakh 4, has received strong audience response and is currently ranked No. 2 on YouTube’s movie charts.
The trailer has been praised for performances by Swastima Khadka, Ravindra Singh Baniya, child actor Samaira Thapa, and debut actors Prashansa Suvedi and Bishal Devkota.
The film is based on a mother-daughter emotional narrative and highlights social issues, including the controversial “Nathiya” tradition practiced in the Badi community.
Directed by Yama Thapa, with story and screenplay developed jointly by Thapa and Pradeep Bhattarai, the film is produced under Shatkon Arts, which has previously delivered hits such as Jatra, Jatrai Jatra, Mahapurush, and Mahajatra.
Filming took place in Rajapur, Bardiya, and the film is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026 (Baisakh 18, 2083 BS).
