Nepali actor Anoop Bikram Shahi has completed dubbing for the Bollywood film ‘Matribhumi’. Produced under Salman Khan Films, the movie features Salman Khan and Anoop Bikram Shahi in lead roles.
Shahi completed the dubbing at Empire Audio Studio in Andheri, West Mumbai. The release date of the film has not yet been officially announced.
However, according to Indian media reports, ‘Matribhumi’ is likely to be released around India’s Independence Day.
His entry into Bollywood has generated excitement among audiences, and is being viewed as a significant step in expanding the global presence of Nepali actors.
Meanwhile, Shahi has also signed another major Bollywood project. The official announcement of the film is expected in August or September. He confirmed this himself in an interview with an leading nepali online portal.
Alongside his Bollywood commitments, he remains active in Nepali cinema. He is set to begin shooting for ‘12 Gaun 2’ starting Baisakh 20.
Recently, he has also been appointed as a brand ambassador for Yamaha.
