Kathmandu — Shooting for the upcoming Nepali film Parbati, directed by actress and producer Nita Dhungana, has officially been completed. The film is produced under the banner of Nita Dhungana Films.
The production team confirmed that filming was wrapped up in just 22 days, eight days ahead of the original one-month schedule. Shooting had begun on Chaitra 24 in Mirsa village of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-1, Kaski district.
According to the team, the early completion was possible due to the active involvement of director Nita Dhungana and the dedication of the cast and crew.
Nita herself plays the lead role in the film alongside Deepa Shree Niraula, Ashok Darji, Siru Bista, Radhika Kandel, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Rajendra Nepali and Asha Poudel.
The story and screenplay are written by Nita Dhungana, while the script is penned by Shivam Adhikari.
Cinematography is handled by Sudip Baral, while Saroj Adhikari serves as the creative director. Known for his work with Cartoonz Crew, Saroj is making his debut as a creative director in feature films.
The film’s production manager and executive producer is Shankar Pandey, with Harihar Adhikari as producer. Editing will be done by Sahil Khan and poster design by Royal Bhimsen.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 28, which also contributed to the fast-paced completion of production.
