Trailer of ‘Malati Mangale’ released, highlights love, conflict and social reality

Kathmandu. The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film Malati Mangale, set to release on Baisakh 25 (May 8), has been unveiled at a special event held at QFX Cinemas, Labim Mall in Lalitpur.

The event was attended by lead actors Vijay Baral, Barsha Raut, and Meksam Gaudel, along with producer and veteran singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, director Praku Pandey, and executive producer Sagar Gnyawali.

The trailer presents the film as a family and social drama centered on the love story of Malati (Barsha Raut) and Mangale (Vijay Baral), along with conflicts in their relationship and family tensions.

Meksam Gaudel is seen in a negative role as Hari, while the trailer also explores friendship dynamics and emotional ups and downs.

The trailer also highlights gender discrimination within society, with a notable dialogue emphasizing social pressure and the idea of reputation and appearance.

The trailer features glimpses of popular songs including Jhyam Param and Sunaiko Sapani, adding to audience anticipation.

Produced under Rani Films in collaboration with Uni Entertainment, the story is written by director Praku Pandey, while screenplay and dialogues are by Sanyog Guragain.

The film also features Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Sushma Niroula, Sunil Tamang, and others.

Cinematography is by Mahesh Paudel, editing by Romy Mozes, color grading by Krishna Bhandari, background score by Sujil Karmacharya, and sound design by Dikesh Khadgi.

The film will be distributed by RR Films and is expected to deliver a complete mix of entertainment, emotion, and social commentary.
