Actor Samir Bhatt’s upcoming film 12 Gaun 2 has officially signed Krishu Shahi ‘Kafiya’ as its lead actress. Producer and director Biraj Bhatt confirmed the news through social media.
Krishu is the daughter of renowned film distributor Govinda Shahi. He operates the banner ‘Kafiya Films,’ named after his daughter. Govinda himself is also distributing 12 Gaun 2.
After finalizing the lead actress, Biraj Bhatt wrote on social media, “Krishu Shahi is stepping into the film industry for the first time through ‘12 Gaun 2.’ Welcome to the film industry. Jai Nepal, Jai Nepali Cinema!”
The film will feature an on-screen romance between Samir Bhatt and Krishu Shahi. Although she had already been signed for the project earlier, the production team officially revealed her casting only on Monday.
According to Govinda Shahi, Krishu has been training in acting and dance for the past four years specifically for this film. Govinda and Biraj Bhatt have been collaborating since their earlier film Kaha Chhau Kaha.
Scheduled for release during Dashain, shooting for 12 Gaun 2 is set to begin from Baisakh 23.
