Actor Sabin Shrestha has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Aa Bata Aama 2’, directed by Chandra Pant. Pant, who is also producing the film, signed Shrestha for one of the movie’s major roles.
The film has already locked in actors Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa and Aakash Shrestha. The production team recently held the film’s auspicious launch ceremony at Patan Banglamukhi Temple.
‘Aa Bata Aama 2’ is the sequel to last year’s commercially successful film ‘Aa Bata Aama’. The sequel will feature performances by Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa, Pradeep Rawat, Aakash Shrestha, Sabin Shrestha, Gajit Bista and Naren Khadka among others.
However, the makers are yet to reveal the name of the film’s lead actress. The production team plans to take the film on floors within the next few weeks and is aiming for a Dashain release.
The story and screenplay are being written by director Pant himself. The film will be distributed by RR Films, while Arya Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is backing the project. Digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
