Two of Nepal’s most popular actors, Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla, are set to appear together once again in the upcoming film Maitjyu, which will release nationwide on Jestha 8.
Both actors are widely regarded as among the most bankable and consistently preferred stars in Nepali cinema, known for their strong screen presence and box office appeal.
The duo previously delivered successful collaborations in films like ‘Loot’ and ‘Kabaddi’, making their pairing one of the most recognized in the industry.
In ‘Maitjyu’, the characters portrayed by Rai and Malla are shown in conflict, as highlighted in the film’s poster and teaser. While they remain connected, they are unable to coexist peacefully, forming the core of the story’s tension.
Producer Janak Gharti Magar said the film’s conflict-driven narrative will strongly entertain audiences and make it a memorable collaboration between the two actors.
Directed by Anil Buda Magar, the film is produced by Janak Gharti Magar.
