Kathmandu — The makers of upcoming Nepali film Roll No 1 have released a new folk-style song titled ‘Myagdi Rumale’. The song was unveiled on Friday as part of the film’s promotional campaign.

The track features vocals by Prashant Siwakoti and Shanti Shree Pariyar. Lyrics are penned by Sushma Sigdel, while the music composition has been done by Prashant Siwakoti himself.

Presented in a conversational duet style, the song revolves around a young man expressing his love and proposing a future together, while the young woman responds cautiously, asking him not to rush into love.

The lyrics also touch on themes of emotional attraction, curiosity about family background, and the importance of patience in relationships. Its folk rhythm and question-answer presentation have made the song appealing to listeners.

The music video features performances by Binod Neupane and Juna Bishwakarma. Choreography for the video has been done by Mausam Himali.

Produced by Binod Poudel, the film ‘Roll No. 1’ is scheduled for release on Jestha 15. Directed by John Yonjan, the movie explores student psychology and the negative impact of the current education system on children’s mental development and overall life.

The film stars Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Srijana Adhikari in lead roles, alongside several child actors.

Written by Mahesh Dawadi, the film was shot across scenic rural locations in Myagdi district. According to the producers, the movie will be released simultaneously in Nepal and overseas markets.
