Kathmandu — Nepali film Malati Mangle, which is enjoying an impressive run at the domestic box office, has released a new musical offering on its third day in theaters. The production team unveiled the video song titled ‘Chudka Bhajan’ following overwhelming audience response and strong word-of-mouth promotion.
The newly released song features lyrics by Purushottam Dhungel and vocals by Kiran Bhusal and others. The music, also directed by Bhusal, blends traditional Chudka folk rhythm with a contemporary presentation. Traditional percussion instruments and community participation have added authenticity and cultural depth to the composition.
Released last Friday, Malati Mangle has been receiving enthusiastic audience support across theaters nationwide. Positive public feedback and emotional connection with viewers have significantly boosted the film’s occupancy in cinemas.
Producer and senior singer Ramkrishna Dhakal, along with actors Barsha Raut, Bijay Baral, and Meksam Gaudel, visited several theaters in Kathmandu on Saturday, where they were welcomed with cheers and applause from excited moviegoers.
Viewers have described Malati Mangle as an emotional cinematic journey filled with humor, sentiment, and authentic Nepali flavor. Performances by Barsha Raut, Bijay Baral, and Meksam Gaudel have especially drawn praise from audiences.
Produced under the banner of Rani Films in collaboration with Uni Entertainment, the film is directed by Praku Pandey. The screenplay and dialogues were written by Sanyog Guragain.
The film also stars Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Sushma Niroula, and Sunil Tamang. Nationwide distribution is being handled by RR Films.
