Kathmandu – The team of the Nepali film ‘Lalibazar’, which has been screening across Nepal since Baisakh 25, is set to begin an out-of-valley audience interaction tour. Actress Swastima Khadka, actor Rabindra Singh Baniya, director Yam Thapa, and executive producer/scriptwriter Pradeep Bhattarai will lead the team, starting their journey from Surkhet and continuing to Nepalgunj.

According to the production team, the film has been receiving positive responses from audiences and celebrities alike. Families have increasingly been visiting theaters to watch the movie, while activists from the Badi community have also praised the film on social media.

Executive producer Pradeep Bhattarai said the team, which has been interacting with audiences in Kathmandu theaters since the film’s release day, will now connect directly with viewers outside the valley as well.

“We are overwhelmed by the love and appreciation from audiences. Now, we want to personally meet viewers in different cities and hear their reactions firsthand,” Bhattarai said.

He added that the tour beginning in Surkhet would continue through Nepalgunj and other cities. “We plan to surprise audiences by appearing in various theaters and interacting with them after the screenings,” he said.

Viewers have reportedly become emotional after watching the film, especially due to its story of a single mother struggling to educate her daughter. Many audience members said they could not hold back their tears.

Similarly, debut actress Prashansa Subedi said audiences from all age groups were showing love toward the film. Known as a Gen-Z content creator and youth activist, she plays the role of Swastima Khadka’s daughter in the movie.

Director and writer Yam Thapa stated that all speculations surrounding the film would become clear once audiences watch it. He described ‘Lalibazar’ as a complete family film suitable for viewers of all ages.

The film stars Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pandey, Pradeep Dhakal, Asha Poudel, Govinda Sunar, Abha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Badi, Saraswati Adhikari, Janaki Kadayat, Nishchal Panthi, and Birbal Chaudhary, among others.

The movie also marks the acting debut of Bishal Devkota and Prashansa Subedi. Devkota is known as a theater actor and director, while Subedi is recognized as a Gen-Z activist and content creator.
