‘Malati Mangale’ Heading to the US and Canada, Advance Ticket Sales Encouraging

Kathmandu — Nepali film Malati Mangale, which has been receiving overwhelming appreciation from audiences since its release in Nepal, is now set to reach viewers across North America. In collaboration with Seven Seas International Films and Nepal 11 Entertainment, the film will begin daily screenings across the United States from May 15.

The film is scheduled to release in major American cities including San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and Austin. Advance ticket sales for the English-subtitled screenings have reportedly been highly encouraging.

Canadian distribution rights for the film have already been acquired by Aangan Events. Producer Ramkrishna Dhakal said the film is also witnessing “sold out” demand in several other countries, with further details to be announced soon.

In Nepal, the film has enjoyed strong word-of-mouth publicity since its opening week. Viewers have described it as an emotionally powerful film that balances humor, sentiment, and authentic Nepali identity.

Actress Barsha Raut has been widely praised for her emotional performance, while actors Bijay Baral and Meksam Gaudel have also won audiences over with their performances. Positive audience reactions are expected to further strengthen the film’s box office run in the coming days.

Produced under the banner of Rani Films in collaboration with Yuni Entertainment, the film is directed by Praku Pandey. The screenplay and dialogues were written by Sanyog Guragain based on Pandey’s own story.

The cast also includes Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Sushma Niraula and Sunil Tamang.

The film’s executive producer is Sagar Gyawali, while co-producers include Babu Subedi, Rabin Shrestha, Bedana Karmacharya, Padmavati Gurung, Swikriti Basnet and Milan Bajgain.

The film features cinematography by Mahesh Poudel, editing by Romy Moses, color grading by Krishna Bhandari, background score by Sujil Karmacharya and sound mixing by Dikesh Khadgi.
