Kathmandu — The trailer of the Nepali film ‘Mitajyu’, featuring Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, and Teriya Fauja Magar in lead roles, is gaining strong attention on YouTube. Released via the official OSR Digital channel, the trailer has secured the second position on YouTube trending charts.
Released on Monday during a press meet in Kathmandu, the trailer crossed 1 million views within a few days. As of the time of reporting, it has garnered over 1,027,000 views and received hundreds of positive comments.
The film marks the acting debut of dancer-turned-actor Teriya Fauja Magar, who first rose to fame through a dance reality show. Viewers have praised her performance as natural and impactful, with appreciation widely circulating on social media.
‘Mitajyu’ explores the traditional Nepali concept of “miteri saina” (ritual friendship bond) that is gradually fading in society. The trailer also depicts competition and conflict between truck drivers after a new road reaches a village, along with emotional ups and downs in the relationship between two sworn friends, played by Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla.
Directed by Anil Budha Magar, the film is produced by Janak Gharti Magar.
