Veteran filmmaker Nir Shah is making a powerful comeback to direction with the upcoming Nepali film ‘Kamala Miss’, scheduled for nationwide release on August 6 (Shrawan 22). The first-look poster of the psychological mystery drama has already sparked curiosity among audiences.
The newly released poster features lead actress Basana Timilsina in an intense psychological expression, hinting at a story filled with mystery, emotional depth, and suspense. The production team has announced that the film’s official teaser will be released this Thursday.
Based on a psychological narrative, the film stars Nir Shah himself alongside Ramesh Budhathoki, Shivam Saraf Kshetri, Aarav Dahal, Bhawana Magar, Sushant Kumar Shrestha, Jayant Regmi, Suresh Thapa, Rajan KC, and Sanjay Khatibada among others.
Produced by Uma Malla for Bijay Malla Smriti Pratisthan, the film has Umesh Malla and Chaitanya Pradhan as executive producers. The screenplay and dialogues, based on a story by Vijay Malla, were jointly written by Nir Shah and Prajal Dulal.
The film features cinematography by Shivaram Shrestha, music by Yug Bhusal, and choreography by Ramji Lamichhane. Production management has been handled by Bhola Subedi, while Sagar Bohara serves as the chief assistant director.
Nir Shah, known for acclaimed films like ‘Basudev’, ‘Pachhis Basanta’, ‘Rajamati’, ‘Basanti’, ‘Masan’, and ‘Setobagh’, is returning to direction after nearly a decade. As a result, ‘Kamala Miss’ is being viewed as a significant new chapter in his cinematic journey.
