Advance ticket booking for the upcoming Nepali film ‘Kaji’, set for release on Jestha 8, opened nationwide from Wednesday. The film has already secured a strong number of shows even before its official release as theaters across the country began bookings simultaneously.
Under QFX Cinemas, bookings have opened in locations including Rising Mall, Pokhara, Birgunj, Itahari, Damauli, Birtamode, Narayanghat, Nepalgunj, Butwal, and various cinemas in Kathmandu. QFX alone has allocated 30 shows initially, with 13 inside the Kathmandu Valley and 17 outside.
Similarly, INI Cinemas has offered 19 shows across Simara, Nawalparasi, Butwal, and Kathmandu venues including Lotse Mall, Bishwojyoti Cinemas, and NB Center. One Cinemas has added 7 shows, while Big Movies has allocated 2 shows. Altogether, the film has secured around 60 shows at the start, with more theaters yet to open bookings.
‘Kaji’ is a romantic emotional drama centered on the love story of Kaji and Kajini, directed by Laxman Rijal.
The film stars Bipin Karki and Keki Adhikari in lead roles, along with a large ensemble cast including Garima Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Hemant Budhathoki, Vishal Pahari, Binod Neupane, Rashmi Bhatt, Hiwala Gautam, Sandeep Babu Lohan, Rojy Shrestha, Ganga Sharma, Nawaraj Giri, Buddhisagar Khanal, Prashansa Suvedi, Kritika Sharma, and child artist Dikshita Aryal.
The story is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, while Nehan Rijal and Bikashraj Joshi serve as producers. Presented by Ramprasad Rijal, the film is produced under Rijal & Rijal Productions.
Asim Kafle is the executive producer. Cinematography is handled by Chintan Rajbhandari, music by Kali Prasad Baskota, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj, and production design by Ojaswi Ojha.
Color grading is done by Shyam Künwar, sound design by Sagar Aryal, background score by Suzil Karmacharya, production head is Prakash Hamal, editing by Bipin Mall, and supervising editor Banish Shah.
The film is distributed nationwide by Sriram Balaji Films.
