Kathmandu — The first song from the musical short film Timi – Ek Rahasya, titled Nau Danda Katera, has been officially released. Conceptualized by R.B. Pun, the song features the soulful voice of popular singer Pratap Das. The lyrics are penned by Pratap Shahi, while the music is composed by Subash Pun Magar.
The music video artistically portrays a deeply emotional social and family-oriented story. It vividly captures themes of love that begins through Facebook, differences in family status and social class, and the contrasting lifestyles of urban and rural communities through meaningful storytelling and dialogue.
The video is cinematographed by Uttam Humagain, while direction and editing are handled by Hari Humagain. The cast includes Ashirbad Kshetri, Ashwini Shahi, Rajaram Poudel, Bishal Pahadi, Sangi Adhikari Pokharel, Srishti Ghimire, and Chetana Kafle, all delivering compelling performances.
Produced by the Norway-based Nepali youth organization Dhadkan Nepal Group, the project aims to combine entertainment with social responsibility. Prior to the song’s release, the production team visited Sahara Care Center in Bhaktapur and provided financial support to the elderly residents there. Director Hari Humagain, along with actors Ashirbad Kshetri and Chetana Kafle, were present during the charity event.
Dhadkan Nepal Group was founded by composer Subash Pun Magar and lyricist Pratap Shahi. Active in the Nepali music industry for many years, Magar currently serves as the President of the Europe Chapter of the National Folk and Dohori Song Academy Nepal.
The project is managed by Dipen Gautam, while Bhagwan Bhujel serves as the executive producer. Color grading has been done by Prabin Manandhar. Released through the official YouTube channel of Dhadkan Nepal Group, the video is expected to resonate strongly with audiences for its meaningful narrative and blend of art with social service.
