Kathmandu – The teaser of the upcoming film Gaunthali, slated for release on August 17 (Shrawan 1), has been unveiled. Centered on the emotional journey of its lead characters, the teaser offers a glimpse into the film’s core narrative and themes.
The teaser portrays a mother’s relentless efforts to secure a happy future for her daughter, while also highlighting the hardships the daughter faces after marriage. It explores the emotional turmoil caused by an unexpected and troubling change in her husband’s behavior.
The story follows a young woman whose desire to continue her education is cut short by an early marriage. Her life takes a painful turn when the husband she believed to be honest and kind proves otherwise. The teaser also reflects the struggles she endures after leaving her maternal home and adjusting to life in her marital family.
With its emotional storytelling, the teaser illustrates how life-changing decisions can lead to unforeseen consequences. Themes of maternal love, complex in-law relationships, and the challenges of married life are woven throughout the narrative.
Arun Chhetri plays the role of the husband, while Simran Khadka stars as the wife. Their performances, particularly the contrast between Arun’s troubled character and Simran’s emotional journey, are expected to resonate strongly with audiences.
