Kathmandu – The upcoming Nepali film “Lajjawati,” directed by Raj Bahadur Sane, has officially completed filming and announced its nationwide release date.
The production team marked the end of shooting with an in-clap ceremony after filming the final scenes at a residence in Dharmasthali, Kathmandu. The entire shoot was completed within 45 days.
With principal photography now wrapped, the film has entered the post-production phase. The makers have confirmed that “Lajjawati” will be released across Nepal on August 13 (Shrawan 29).
According to the production team, no other Nepali film has officially announced a release on the same date so far, raising hopes for a solo release window at the box office.
Produced under the Aaha Films banner, the film is presented by Saurabh Wali and produced by Kamal Prasad Sharma and Sandip Kumar Rokaya. Dinesh Raj Budhathoki serves as the executive producer.
The cast includes Mukun Bhusal, Shree Krishna Niraula, Menuka Majhi, Januka Bishwakarma, Keshav Rijal, Dhiren Shakya, Priya Rijal, Hiuwala Gautam, Ramhari Khadka, Binod Shrestha, Deepak Thapa and Kajal Bhujel, among others.
The film features cinematography by Divya Raj Subedi, editing by Tara Thapa “Kimbhe,” and action direction by Dev Maharjan. Nationwide distribution will be handled by Kuber Cine Distribution.
