Kathmandu — Upcoming Nepali film ‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ has unveiled four additional cast members as part of its promotional campaign ahead of release.

The production team announced actors Sagar Khanal, Shishir Siwakoti, Supriya Sharma, and Shavi Thapa, whose involvement had remained undisclosed despite the film already entering post-production following the completion of principal photography.

The film’s lead cast, including actresses Jharana Thapa and Suhana Thapa, along with actor Divyadev Pant, had been revealed earlier. The addition of the newly announced actors is expected to further strengthen the film’s ensemble.

Sagar Khanal is known for his performance in ‘11:55’, while Shishir Siwakoti has earned acclaim for films such as ‘Behuli From Meghauli’ and ‘Sano Sansar’.

Written and directed by renowned composer, lyricist, and singer Hari Lamsal, ‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ is scheduled for release on Bhadra 19 (early September). The release date has been strategically aligned with Kushe Aunsi, Nepal’s Father’s Day, reflecting the film’s father-centric storyline.

The film marks Hari Lamsal’s directorial debut in feature filmmaking. Produced under the Artistic Entertainment banner, the story and screenplay have also been written by Lamsal himself.

Producer Basanta Lamsal, who previously backed the film ‘Karma’ starring Bipin Karki, is producing the project.

According to the filmmakers, ‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ explores the sacrifices, struggles, and lifelong challenges faced by fathers while shaping their children’s future in Nepali society.

The film features cinematography by Shibram Shrestha and has Taranath Neupane as chief assistant director. Distribution will be handled by Kuber Cine Distribution, led by Ashish H. Tamang and Pradeep Dhami.
