“Tika: Stateless Soul” Begins Filming in Kaski, Set for Teej Festival Release

Production has officially begun for the Nepali film Tika: Stateless Soul, with shooting starting Sunday in Pame, Kaski district.

The film is scheduled for a 40-day shoot, with approximately 30 days dedicated to locations across Kaski in Nepal’s Gandaki Province, alongside additional sequences in Kathmandu and other areas.

Executive producer Tejbikram KC said key filming locations include Pokhara, Pame, Sarangkot, and Nirbhan, chosen for their scenic value and their contribution to the film’s narrative depth.

Produced under Bhabishya Films Pvt. Ltd. and Third Eye Arts, the film is led by producer Bhabishya Khadka. The team has already announced a theatrical release date aligned with the Teej festival on Bhadra 26.

Directed by Shankar Karki, the film is described as a women-centric drama. The assistant direction team includes Aakash Ukheda and Jeevan Dhungel.

The cast features Priyanka Karki, Barsha Siwakoti, Mahesh Tripathi, Nirmal Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Reena Dhakal, Vivika Paudel, and Ayushi Dhakal in prominent roles.

Cinematography is handled by Narendra Mainali. The story is written by Shankar Karki and Chandan Jha, with screenplay supervision by Bishwas Timsina (BT Kanchha). Music is composed by Kaliprasad Baskota and Ketan Kshetri.
