Kathmandu — Director Krisha Chaulagain’s third directorial venture, “Paras,” is set to begin filming from June 29, with the production team completing the cast’s look test as preparations enter their final phase.
The face test was conducted on Thursday at Balaju Lab, where actors were styled according to their respective characters. Known for her strong background in action filmmaking, Chaulagain said most of the pre-production work has already been completed, allowing the team to proceed with filming as scheduled.
According to the director, principal photography will take place in and around the Kathmandu Valley. The look test was organized to finalize the visual presentation and character appearances before cameras roll.
Produced under the banner of KP Films, the film has already signed Nikhil Upreti, Ramesh Upreti, Niruta Singh, Sushil Shrestha, Jasita Gurung and Pushkar Gurung for key roles. Casting for additional characters is still underway.
The screenplay has been written by Indian writer Sachin Ladiya, while acclaimed cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan will serve as Director of Photography (DOP). Man Krishna Maharjan and Shekhar Bahadur Tamang are part of the camera department.
The film’s first song was recorded a few weeks ago, featuring vocals by Sajja Chaulagain, winner of Nepal Idol Season 3. The song’s lyrics and composition are by Koshish Chhetri.
