Kathmandu: The makers of director Everest Surya Bohara’s upcoming Nepali film ‘Chameliko Poi’ have released its second official poster ahead of the film’s worldwide release on October 2 (Ashoj 16).
The newly unveiled poster features veteran comedian Narayan Tripathi in a striking and unconventional look. Popularly known as ‘Prem Charo’, Tripathi is making his return to Nepali cinema after a long hiatus following his move to the United States. The poster portrays him half-clothed, with visible bruises, torn clothes, and an expression suggesting he has just escaped a violent confrontation, creating intrigue about his character.
The latest poster also includes the film’s lead cast, including Surakshya Pant, Mukun Bhusal, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ram Narayan Upadhyay, Sudip Kunwar, and Umesh Rai.
The ensemble cast further features Premdev Giri, Rabindra Jha, Anshu Maharjan, Khadga Bahadur Pun (Khabpu), Rajani Gurung, Sunita Sapkota, Ganesh Gautam, Dhanalakshmi Bohara, Shreya Narayan, Anushka Narayan, Meena RL Shah, and Ritu Malla Thakuri.
Ahead of its theatrical release, the film is scheduled to hold a special premiere in Texas, USA, on August 9. The story is written by director Everest Surya Bohara, while the screenplay and dialogues are co-written with Shivam Adhikari.
Produced under the Dhanalakshmi Cine Makers banner, the film is backed by Ram Narayan Upadhyay and Sunita Sapkota. Uday Bikram Rana, Ritu Malla Thakuri, and Kapil Acharya serve as executive producers, while Dhan Kumari Shrestha is the line producer.
Filmed across Mustang, Pokhara, and Kathmandu, the project has Sudip Kunwar, Sumitra Thapa, Narayan Tripathi, Yam Prasad Oli, and Pradeep Kumar Sapkota as co-producers. The film will be distributed nationwide by RR Films.
