Kathmandu: The upcoming Nepali film Ratyauli, starring Bijay Baral and Pooja Sharma, is officially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on February 21 (Falgun 21 in the Nepali calendar). The producers announced the release date, saying it has been strategically chosen to coincide with Maha Shivaratri and International Women’s Day.
Presented by Pooja Sharma, the film is directed by Muskan Dhakal and produced by Suraj Acharya. Vijay Baral and Pooja Sharma have already been confirmed in the lead roles.
Produced under the banners of Nightingale Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Pooja Sharma Production, the film is set to begin principal photography in Bhadra.
The film generated early buzz following the release of its first-look poster. Distribution rights have been acquired by Rich Entertainment. Distributor Karan Shrestha said the release date was selected to take advantage of the festive occasion of Maha Shivaratri and the celebration of International Women’s Day.
Based on a socially relevant story, Ratyauli is currently in the pre-production phase, with the production team actively preparing for filming.
