‘Ka ka ki ki’ Unveils First Glimpse Ahead of September Release

Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali comedy film ‘Kakakiki’ have released its first official glimpse, marking the beginning of the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release on September 4 (Bhadra 19).

Presented by Maya Entertainment and produced by the team behind the popular comedy show ‘Comedy Darbar’, the nearly three-minute preview introduces audiences to the fictional village of Kulebari, where a group of characters is determined to bring positive change to their community.

The teaser features veteran actresses Gauri Malla, Tripti Nadakar, and Rekha Thapa, alongside actor Mahesh Tripathi, discussing ambitious plans for their village. Their humorous exchanges hint at the film’s blend of comedy and social satire.

Speaking at the launch event, co-directors Bicky Agarwal and Shraddha Prasai said they had made the film with sincerity and dedication, leaving the final verdict to audiences.

“We’re not claiming we’ve made a masterpiece. We’ve honestly tried to make a good film, and now it’s up to the audience,” said Agarwal.

Prasai expressed confidence in the project, crediting the cast and technical team for their commitment throughout production.

The ensemble cast also includes Diya Maskey, Prakash Ghimire, Shishir Wangdel, Subash Gajurel, Rare Rai, Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabapu), Pawan Khatiwada (Myaakuri), Mautse Gurung, Manoj Gajurel, Mukunda Mainali, Ram Babu Regmi, CD Bijay Adhikari, Saroj Bhandari, Sujana Shrestha, Bishwas Timilsina (BT Kanchha), Elisa Bhog, Suwarna Thapa, and Kamal Devkota.

The screenplay is co-written by Bicky Agarwal, Saroj Bhandari, and Bikash Aryal. The film is produced by Shraddha Prasai and Sumitra Thapa, with the original concept by Suman Agrawal and script consultation by Bishwas Timilsina.

The cinematography is by Sudip Baral. The film’s digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital, while Seven Seas International will handle its international distribution.

‘Kakakiki’ is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release on September 4 (Bhadra 19).
