Renowned Nepali comedian and filmmaker Deepa Shree Niraula has successfully undergone brain tumor surgery.
She was admitted to Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maitighar a few days ago after experiencing health complications. The surgery was performed by a medical team led by senior neurosurgeon Dr. Basanta Pant.
According to hospital sources, the operation was successful, and Niraula is currently recovering well.
The tumor removed from her brain has been sent for laboratory analysis to determine whether it is cancerous. Doctors said the biopsy report is still pending.
A prominent figure in Nepal’s film industry for decades, Deepa Shree Niraula is widely recognized for her achievements as both an actress and the director of several blockbuster films.
