The production team of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola’ has unveiled a new official poster featuring the film’s principal cast ahead of its nationwide release on September 11 (Bhadra 26).
The poster centers on lead actor Dil Shrestha, who is seen celebrating a traditional Haldi ceremony before his wedding. Also featured are Madan Krishna Shrestha, Laxmi Giri, Srishti Shrestha, Niti Shah, and Namrata Shrestha. The vibrant wedding setting, elegant decorations, and festive costumes portray a joyful family celebration. Namrata is seen holding a bouquet for the groom, while Madan Krishna Shrestha appears in a wheelchair, hinting that his character has a physical disability.
The family-oriented poster suggests that the film is an emotional family drama and invites audiences to enjoy it together with their loved ones.
Directed by actress Rekha Thapa, the film is currently in the final stage of post-production and is scheduled for release on September 11. The project marks Thapa’s return to directing after an eight-year hiatus following her earlier directorial ventures, ‘Himmatwali’ and ‘Malika’. It is her third feature film as a director.
Produced under the banner of Diya & Amu Films, the movie stars Madan Krishna Shrestha, Dil Shrestha, Srishti Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, and former Miss Nepal International Niti Shah, with former Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi appearing in a special role. The supporting cast includes Laxmi Giri, Bishal Pahadi, Sangam Bhandari, Ravi Dangol, Sunita Shrestha, and Binod Poudel.
The film is produced by Hari Narayan Shrestha, Maya Devi Shrestha, Navaraj Shrestha, Jasmin Shrestha, and Prakash Shrestha. Featuring a screenplay by Dhruva Lamsal, the story explores love, family relationships, and social values.
The technical team includes cinematographer Sudip Baral, music composer Prashant Siwakoti, chief assistant director Aniruddha Atreya, film coordinator Rajan Ghimire, costume designer Sujeni Malla, makeup artist Priya Karki, and production manager Chudamani (CM).
The film will be distributed across Nepal by Reach Entertainment, Apple Entertainment, and FD Company.
