‘Bhatbhate Maila’ Star Begam Nepali Signs as Lead Actor in ‘Teen Tighre Kya Bigre’

Kathmandu: Popular comedian Begam Nepali, widely recognized for his iconic ‘Bhatbhate Maila’ character on television and digital platforms, is set to make his debut as a lead actor in a feature film. He has been signed to play the central role in the upcoming Nepali comedy ‘Teen Tighre Kya Bigre,’ produced under the banner of Raghuji Films.

After years of entertaining audiences through television, digital media, and live stage performances, the film marks a major milestone in Begam Nepali’s acting career. Best known for his comic performances on the small screen, he is now stepping into his first leading role on the big screen.

The film is written and directed by Amardeep Sapkota and produced by Raghunath Sapkota. Production is scheduled to begin this week with principal photography.

According to producer Raghunath Sapkota, the film will feature several well-known personalities from Nepal’s entertainment industry. Singer Pashupati Sharma will compose the film’s songs, while cinematographer Sankal Bhujel will oversee the visuals.

The cast already includes singer Pashupati Sharma, Paritoshika Pant—daughter of singer Anju Panta—actress Samiya Karki, and popular comedian Prabhat Lama.

Directed as a full-fledged comedy entertainer, ‘Teen Tighre Kya Bigre’ aims to offer audiences a fresh blend of humor, satire, and family-friendly entertainment, according to director Amardeep Sapkota.
