Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Halee’, scheduled for nationwide release on August 6 (Shrawan 22), have unveiled a heartfelt new song titled ‘Kahabata Lyau Baba Pida Bhulne Mutu’.
The emotional track portrays the deep bond between a father and child, expressing the pain and helplessness a child experiences during difficult times. The filmmakers believe the song will resonate strongly with audiences through its powerful emotional appeal.
The lyrics were written by actor Pramod Deep, while the music was composed by Abhi Sunar. Popular singer Asmita Adhikari has lent her voice to the song, which is accompanied by an emotionally driven music video featuring compelling performances from the film’s cast.
Produced by Puja Gurung and Jasmine Shrestha, ‘Hali’ is written and directed by Om Pratik and is inspired by real-life events.
The film stars Pramod Deep, Sujata Thapa, Bidya Karki, Saroj Khanal, Aruna Karki, Arjun Gurung, Nabin Shrestha, Kanchan Dulal, Kamal Gaule, and Bishal Pahadi, while director Om Pratik also appears in a key role.
Earlier, the film’s promotional dance number featuring Deepa Shree Niraula, Pooja Sharma, and Mithila Sharma received a positive response from audiences. The production team is optimistic that the newly released emotional track will further strengthen the film’s promotional campaign.
Jointly produced by Japura Films Production and Shubh Chirayu Films, ‘Hali’ delivers a message that a single determined individual can inspire meaningful social change.
The soundtrack also features music by Shambhujit Baskota, Babul Giri, and Krishna Bhardwaj. Another song written by Jasmine Shrestha and composed by Babul Giri features vocals by Babul Giri and Shanti Shree Pariyar.
The film’s cinematography is by Rahul Rai, editing by Ram Prasad Chaudhary and Bipin Malla, and action direction by Kumar Maharjan. It will be distributed by National Cine Group Pvt. Ltd., while OSR Digital serves as its official digital partner.
With growing buzz both in Nepal and overseas, the filmmakers are confident that ‘Hali’ is well-positioned for a strong theatrical run.
