The sequel to the popular Nepali film Resham Filili, titled Feri Resham Filili, has officially announced its release date. The movie is set to hit theaters on Falgun 14. The announcement was made on Sunday, accompanied by the release of its official poster.
The poster features lead actor Vinay Shrestha and actress Supushpa Bhatt. Vinay is depicted in a style reminiscent of the previous installment, while Supushpa is shown holding a red rose with a cheerful smile. The poster portrays a romantic connection between the two, with Vinay looking skyward in a prayerful pose.
This sequel is directed by Niroj Maharjan. Apart from Vinay and Supushpa, the movie boasts an ensemble cast including Nir Shah, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Prakash Ghimire, Shishir Wangdel, Ravindra Jha, Laxmi Giri, Mahesh Tripathi, Avonraj Upreti, Maxem Gaudel, and Sajan Thapa.
Produced by Raunak Bikram Kandel, the film promises to deliver the same humor and charm as its predecessor. The original movie had its release delayed due to the catastrophic earthquake that struck Nepal the day after its premiere, but it garnered significant support upon its re-release.
The film’s executive producer is Suraj Bam Thakuri, with Susan Prajapati handling cinematography, a screenplay by Director Maharjan and Akash Baral, action direction by Naresh King Yogi, and music by Kali Prasad Baskota, SD Yogi, Hark Saud, Jayan J Wyva, and Deepak Sharma. The editing is done by Surendra Paudel.
Feri Resham Filili is a presentation of Cinema Arts in collaboration with V Motion Pictures. The co-producer is Ani Thapa, while distribution will be managed by Govinda Shahi’s Kafia Films and Kuber Cine Distribution.
Fans eagerly await the sequel, hoping it will recapture the magic of the original.
