The Nepali film “Baristha Balram” has grossed over Rs. 20 million within just five days of its release.
Released on Kartik 6, the film surpassed the two-crore mark by Kartik 10, according to producer Ashish H. Tamang.
“So far, our film has collected more than Rs. 20 million in just five days,” said Tamang. “It’s still running with high occupancy across theaters.”
He shared that audiences have connected deeply with the film’s portrayal of emotional bonds and local-level power dynamics.
“The film’s message — that emotional ties can be as strong as blood relations — has really resonated with viewers,” Tamang said. “They’ve also appreciated the depiction of local resource exploitation and the romantic subplot.”
He further noted that audiences have praised the fresh presentation of Dayahang Rai and Bijay Baral, both seen in distinctive roles.
