Kathmandu — A three-day “Voice Acting and Dubbing” training program organized by the Film Development Board has been successfully completed, benefiting 174 participants and contributing to skill development in Nepal’s film industry.
The training was led by Indian voice expert Amit Deondi, who has worked on several international Hollywood and Bollywood projects. Participants described the workshop as highly practical, effective, and aligned with international standards.
During the program, trainees gained both theoretical and hands-on knowledge in voice acting techniques, character-based voice modulation, dialogue delivery, studio dubbing processes, and sound editing.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Film Development Board Chairperson and director Dinesh DC emphasized the importance of combining voice and performance to take Nepali cinema to a global level. He noted that voice acting and dubbing are not just technical aspects but the very soul of performance.
Lead trainer Amit Deondi praised the enthusiasm and potential of Nepali participants, expressing confidence that with proper training and consistent practice, Nepal’s voice acting sector can reach international standards.
According to the Board, the training is expected to significantly enhance the quality of voice acting and dubbing in Nepali cinema while producing skilled professionals for the industry.
