In 120 days, the shooting of Santosh Sen’s “Balidan” has been completed.
With this, Balidan has become the longest-running Nepali film in terms of production time.
This also sets a record for the longest filming period for a Nepali movie. Most films are typically shot within 30 days, while some are completed in 90 days. The film started shooting on 22nd Bhadra, but despite a nearly one-month break during Dashain and Tihar, it resumed shooting from 7th Mangsir.
On Friday, the main actor Samir Bhatta and actress Richa Sharma shot the final scene at Budhasubba Ground in Hasina Simasar, Morang, completing the second schedule of the film.
After the shooting concluded, director and producer Santosh Sen stated that there were no compromises in the film’s production.
He said, “Whether it’s the creation of the story or the selection of actors, technicians, and technology, we’ve been successful in achieving more than we envisioned. We faced many physical, mental, and emotional struggles, but we left no stone unturned in making the film excellent.”
The production team is preparing to announce the release date through a teaser in the coming weeks. The film is expected to release during the upcoming Dashain festival, likely on Phulpati.
This action-packed film features performances by Samir, Richa, Saugat Mall, Arpan Thapa, Divya Dev, Kameshwar Chaurasia, and others. Producer-director Santosh Sen also plays an important role in the film.
In Balidan, renowned South Indian action director Standard Sam has choreographed the action scenes.
Singer Sujan Chapagai, lyricist Hark Saud, and director Naveen Chauhan’s team have worked on the songs, music, and background score. The film is produced by Pawan Bradford Bist and co-produced by Prem Puri.
