Kathmandu – The acclaimed Nepali film ‘Unko Sweater’ is now available for free on digital platform YouTube. Production company Artmandu has made the film accessible to audiences worldwide through its official YouTube channel.
Director Naveen Chauhan stated that after a successful theatrical run in Nepal and India, the film was released digitally to ensure it reaches all viewers.
The film earned around NPR 120 million in Nepal. Screening in over 40 theaters for 51 days domestically, it achieved similar unprecedented success in India. The film was released in more than 40 theaters across regions including Gangtok in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Assam, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, and Kerala, completing a 51-day historic run.
Despite language and cultural differences, the film’s emotional depth resonated strongly with Indian audiences.
Responding to international demand from viewers who could not attend theaters, Artmandu decided to release it on YouTube.
The film features Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Alex Parash, Pariksha Limbu, and Sunil Pokharel in lead roles, and is presented not just as entertainment but as a warm story of soil, memory, and relationships.
