Kathmandu – Producer and renowned singer Ramakrishna Dhakal has departed for the United States to spearhead the international screening campaign for the Nepali film “Malati Mangale.”
Dhakal will personally participate in the film’s overseas screenings, audience interaction programs and musical performances as part of its global release strategy. The first phase of the tour includes the United States, Canada and Australia, with plans to expand the campaign to Europe and other international markets in the coming months.
According to the official schedule, special screenings and live musical events will be held in Boston on June 5 and New Hampshire on June 6. The promotional tour will then continue through North Carolina, Colorado and Texas before reaching Toronto, Canada, during the third week of June.
The film’s Australian campaign will feature a grand red-carpet premiere in Sydney on July 4, followed by screenings in several other Australian cities. Meet-and-greet sessions with audiences and live musical performances will accompany the screenings.
Executive producer Sagar Gyawali and other members of the cast are also expected to join various international promotional events alongside Dhakal.
Produced under the banner of Rani Films in association with Uni Entertainment, “Malati Mangale” is directed by Praku Pandey. The story has been written by Pandey, while the screenplay and dialogues are penned by Sanyog Guragain.
The film features performances by Bijay, Barsha and Maxam, along with Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Sushma Niraula and Sunil Tamang in key roles.
Sagar Gyawali serves as the executive producer, while Babu Subedi, Rabin Shrestha, Bedana Karmacharya, Padmavati Gurung, Swikriti Basnet and Milan Bajgain are co-producers.
The film boasts cinematography by Mahesh Poudel, editing by Romi Moses, color grading by Krishna Bhandari, background score by Sujil Karmacharya and sound design by Dikesh Khadgi. The makers are optimistic that the film will resonate strongly with Nepali audiences living abroad and further strengthen its global reach.
